How Does a PDO Thread Lift Work?
This minimally-invasive alternative to facelift surgery is designed to rejuvenate and lift sagging skin. It will take about one hour. Before your PDO thread lift treatment begins, we will use a marker to mark your skin in the places where the threads will be inserted.
A local anesthetic will be applied to ensure you are comfortable during your treatment. Once this has taken effect, the PDO threads will be inserted. The PDO threads are attached to a long cannula, or blunt-tipped needle. The cannula is carefully pushed through the tissue beneath the skin until the thread has reached its designated position. This process of lifting the skin will be repeated with as many threads as are needed to achieve your aesthetic goals. Each of the threads act as an anchor as the skin is lifted upwards.
Once the threads are in place, they will be massaged to ensure they are properly in place and the tissue is lying smoothly around them. Because the skin lifting is achieved mechanically with the PDO threads, the results are instant. You will notice tighter, firmer skin, which will continually improve as the boost in collagen production remodels the skin from the inside.
